Technical metal subversives EAST OF THE WALL have completed the recording process for their upcoming third full-length, The Apologist, the highly anticipated opus set for release this October on Translation Loss Records for the CD and digital release, and on Antithetic for the vinyl release. The album’s official release date, track listing and more will be announced within the next few weeks.

In support of the upcoming album, EAST OF THE WALL have begun planning a month-long U.S. Fall tour, with Goes Cube, Iron Thrones and Tidal Arms and more joining them for various legs of the journey. The tentative schedule, running from late October to late November, is posted at EOTW’s shows page. To be released via Translation Loss this July, Ressentiment is a concept record in which EAST OF THE WALL focus on a slightly different sound, integrating the use of vocals and an increased emphasis on sonic dissonance. The recording was engineered and co-produced by Will Putney at The Machine Shop (Clutch, King Crimson, Lamb Of God) in March through May of 2009.

The band have also announced a short run of Northeast live shows this month with labelmates Rosetta. They follow that in March with a month-long tour alongside The End Records’ artist Goes Cube, making appearances at two SXSW 2010 showcases.
